1 The Client

Our client is a startup based in Chicago, founders are from the legal industry.

2 The Challenge

Many times, law firms don’t have lawyers available to go to court dates, they want an option to call lawyers or paralegals from other law firms to go to the court date and pay them. There is no digital platform that exists for this business, an uberized model for lawyers where law firms could access lawyers from anywhere based upon their availability and price. Our client saw this challenge as an opportunity and decided to build the LegalTrot platform. Client reached out to Simpalm, a leading app development company in Chicago.

3 The Solution

We built mobile app and web app

The LegalTrot mobile applications are available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, and the web app can be accessed from any browser at app.legaltrot.com. We started the project by capturing the requirements and doing the UIUX design of the app and web interface. Once designs were approved by the client, we developed the apps on iOS, Android and Web in around 5 months. Solution was tested and launched on app stores. The web and mobile applications work together to connect legal professionals and law firms to use crowd-sourcing for legal assignments. Law firms are able to post a job on the web app, and legal professionals can use either mobile app to accept the job and get paid upon completion.
