Our client for this project was Department of Defense.

2 The Challenge

DoD has several professionals all over the World who capture media like photo and video and send it to the Defense Media Agency for publication or internal use. Media professionals use a pdf guideline to add meta tags and description to the media files. It becomes very cumbersome to scan through a bulky PDF to find the rules and use them. To overcome this challenge, DMA decided to build a mobile app that can be used easily in the field. Client was looking for a local app development company with experience in federal space. Simpalm had the requisite and was hired by the client to build the solution.

3 The Solution

We built mobile apps on iOS and Android

Simpalm is one of the best iPhone app development company in the USA, we designed and developed DoD style guide mobile apps for Defense Media Agency at Fort Meade, Maryland. We took the PDF and created a parser to parse the data in a structured manner so that it can be used in mobile apps. We did the UIUX design of the app and once the design was approved we started to code the UI of the app. We created the parser locally in the app. We built the app in around 5 months. These mobile apps are used by media professionals to follow the style guides when submitting video and photos to the DMA for publication. Earlier there was a PDF that was being used and this was converted into a mobile app by Simpalm. This was an 8(a) award to Simpalm by DMA.
