Mercy Prayerbook App: Digitized Morning and Evening Prayer

The Client.

The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas Inc., founded by Catherine McAuley, is an international community of Roman Catholic women based in Maryland that is dedicated to living the Gospel of Jesus. They have over 6,000 sisters and serve more than 3,100 Mercy-sponsored programs and institutions where they strive to make a difference in the lives of those across the world.

Mercy Prayerbook

The Challenge.

The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas had an existing custom mobile application that digitized their Morning and Evening prayer book for use worldwide. However, they faced a significant challenge with their existing app when the app was severely outdated and no longer met the guidelines. With the original developers gone and out of business, they needed a complete rebuild of their application to ensure compatibility with today’s standards for modern design and technology.

The Solution.

We built a Mobile App. We partnered with the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas to develop a custom mobile application that revived the original and incorporated modern features and updated designs. The mobile application includes all of the same content as its predecessor as well as new functionalities, rebuilding the app from the ground up for compatibility across iOS and Android platforms and allowing Sisters across the world to access the prayerbook.
