Intellihose: Industrial House Selection App
The Client.
Hosecraft USA – a division of Flexicraft Industries – has been based in Chicago since 1963, focused on providing a full selection of flexible piping solutions designed to meet almost every industrial and commercial need of customers in Illinois.
The Challenge.
Flexicraft offers an extensive range of hose families and accessories, making it challenging to identify the most suitable hoses for specific tasks. The selection process must account for various factors, such as material suitability and application type (e.g., discharge, steam, hydraulic). Hosecraft USA recognized the need to streamline and share this information effectively within their team. To address this, they partnered with Simpalm to develop a comprehensive solution that would simplify the identification and application of the appropriate hoses for various tasks.
The Solution.
We built a Progressive Web App. We worked closely with Hosecraft to understand their requirements and selection challenges. As a leading PWA development company in USA, we developed a solution that handles all calculations, logic, and data processing needed to identify the right hose for each use case. The PWA works across mobile devices, tablets, and desktops. It can also be downloaded and used offline.
The Impact.
1. Reduced error in hose selection to 0%, thus increased customer satisfaction.
2. Saved sales team time by 10% since sales team could do fast selection from mobile devices instead of using excel sheet.
3. End customers started to use PWA , reduced their dependence on the sales rep.

We have built this application to be accessible across both mobile and desktop applications which allows users seamless compatibility across all devices, regardless of whether they are at home or out on a job. Offline Capability .
- We know it is important to have the right tool for the job, so that is why we built this application to feature offline support. That way, regardless of where a user is, they will always be able to access the calculator and get the job done.
All inputs are controlled and validated.
- Users can submit inputs to view suitable hoses and their corresponding product details, which are validated through our backend server; ensuring that we are providing the most optimal tool for the job.
User Inputs.
- Users can input a variety of parameters including, Nominal Diameter, Max Media, Preferred Material, and more.
Real-time output is shown on the app.
- Whenever the user makes an input, the calculator will return a result in an instant, displaying the solution in a table list. All formulas and conditions are stored in the cache, allowing any calculation to be instantaneous and available.
