The Catholic Medical Mission Board Inc. (also known as CMMB) is a non-governmental organization based in New York that works in partnership globally to deliver locally sustainable and quality health solutions to communities around the world. Since they were registered in 1928, they have served over 1.4 million people with access to lifesaving healthcare to some of the most remote and underserved corners of the world.

The Challenge.

CMMB faced a significant challenge with its current supply chain management (SCM) and compliance processes, which relied on a manual, multi-step, paper-based system. This outdated method was not only time-consuming but also required extensive follow-up by staff, leading to inefficiencies and delays. The need for a scalable, digitized solution that could streamline delivery documentation, verify shipment deliveries with ease, and integrate seamlessly with the existing inventory management system was imperative to improve operational efficiency and meet future data collection needs.

The Solution.

We built a Web App, Mobile App, and Backend. We worked with the Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) to develop a mobile and web application that supports CMMB’s supply chain with recipient partners. The mobile application includes form fields, levels of permissions tied to user level, and photo/video upload capability to attest/document receipt of GIK product. The web app is a browser-based app administration site for CMMB management of inbound data and user access to data relevant to them.

  • iconUsers will see all the delivery receipts and filter through a detailed list of shipments that have pending delivery receipts, where they can assign shipment compliance documents to an organization..
